It’s a dreary day here in the Lone Star State and with that I have been surfing the net in the hope that something grabs my attention.  Below are a few links to some interesting stuff.  Hope you enjoy. Here is a great story on a local promoter in Newark NJ by The Star-Ledger’s Steve Politi. Nice recap of John Duddy’s win over Howard Eastman in Northern Ireland by Thomas Myler of the Irish Independent. Interesting piece by The Times (U.K.) by Mick Hume on Hatton’s win and a resurgence of sorts in England with the fistic arts.  I have said it before and I will say it again, no one does a character profile like Maxboxing’s Tom Gerbasi.  Check out his story on ring announcer Lupe Contreras.  Shameless Self Promotion Stay tuned this week for our first annual end of year awards. Yesterday’s post focused on Fighter of the Year and today we tackle 2007 KO of the Year.  It’s not like you have anything better to do.
