And The New!… Boxing Blogger

Hi. I’m Tim, one of the new guys at MVN’s boxing blog. In an ideal world, Michael Buffer would be introducing me, but I don’t think he’s available, so I’m forced to do my own honors. I started my own boxing blog back in July, and since have written as well for TheSweetScience.com and EastsideBoxing.com. Besides assorted fight previews and recaps, I’ve written about boxing’s funniest nicknames; the renaissance of Canadian fighters; why dogfighting isn’t morally equivalent to boxing; the dark side of the sport, from allegations of Shane Mosley’s steroid use to its most horrendous referee; and why it was frustrating to see Floyd Mayweather on “Dancing With the Stars” and how maybe hardboiled egg whites and Nyquil aren’t an ideal diet if you’re a boxer looking to avoid anemia. I hope to bring that kind of mix to MVN, too. I love the back and forth of blogging, so please, leave comments, even if you simply think I’m a blockhead and want me to know about it.
