Hopkins – Calzaghe a Done Deal?

BBC Sport is reporting that a deal has been struck that will pit light heavyweight champion Bernard Hopkins against super middleweight champion of the world Joe Calzaghe. Well it appears that 2008 is shaping up to be a hell of a year for the sweet science. Frank Warren, Calzaghe’s promoter, is reported to have announced the news and stated that an official release will follow later on this week announcing the date and location. While Hopkins has gone on record as to wanting the fight to take place in Yankee Stadium all signs point to the showdown taking place in Vegas, probably the MGM.
