TQBR-Fest On Pound 4 Pound Radio Thursday Night

One of TQBR’s luminaries (staff writer Corey Erdman) and one of its incompetents (founder Tim Starks) will be discussing boxing at 8 p.m. this evening on Pound 4 Pound Radio. The show, which Erdman produces and co-hosts, is available on theScore on SIRIUS 98 for satellite subscribers. For non-subscribers, you can listen live here, or get the podcast just moments afterward on iTunes or here. Every time I’ve been on the show, it’s been great fun, and very thought-provoking, a difficult potion to concoct.

Here’s why: If you think Erdman’s a quality writer, about which you would be right, you should hear him as a broadcaster. I’m kind of a throw-in on the deal tonight. Also, did you know Erdman is calling a Tye Fields fight this weekend, which will be aired on tape delay in Canada? Couldn’t make it up if I tried. And by the way — he’s good in the booth, too. I’ve heard him and I’m not lying about that, either.

(More everybody-but-me-at-TQBR-is-awesome news: Our boy Mike Coppinger is on the stands in The Ring this month with an excellent feature on junior lightweight prospect Adrien Broner. Check out the latest issue on the stands, or subscribe digitally. Coppinger, like Erdman, cannot be stopped.)
