Our Polish friend has it right: “Why problem make when you no problem have you…?” There’s not much boxing on this weekend, but that doesn’t need to be a problem. There are some great fights coming later in the year, so go outside and enjoy that strange yellow orb floating in the sky.
One of those later fights is between welterweights Juan Manuel Marquez and Tim Bradley, and you can start your motor for it by tuning into HBO next Tuesday night, when a “Face Off with Max Kellerman” interview/hype segment premiers.
As for the little that is scheduled this week, the only fights on U.S. TV will be the “Golden Boy Live!” card on Fox Sports 1 on Monday. It's headlined by crafty ex-welterweight contender Luis Collazo (33-5, 17 KO) who’s trying to return to relevance by taking on Alan Sanchez (12-2-1, 6 KO). Three-time Olympian Rau’Shee Warren (6-0, 3 KO) is fighting on the undercard against the dreaded TBA… On Saturday Transnational Boxing Rankings Board #2 junior flyweight Adrian Hernandez (27-2-1, 16 KO) fights Japan’s Atsushi Kakutani (13-3-1, 6 KO) in Mexico City. That’s about it, folks.
